I went to the horse races for the first time today. It is the Hennessey Gold Cup Newbury’s biggest race meeting. I went with Paddy, Geraldine, Daddy and Mummy. I enjoyed watching the horses and liked all the brightly coloured silks. I placed a bet (well Daddy did it for me) on a lovely horse in pink silks with white stars, sadly my horse did not win he came nearly last but was one of the favourites at the start. Paddy said it was an historic race and his horse did have a better result than mine!
